Using a Ring Adjuster

When most people think of a ring adjustment, they think of a ring that has grown to small and needs to be adjusted to a larger size. However, this kind of adjustment requires the ring to be resized and refitted, bringing the issue beyond a mere readjustment. However, when the ring is too loose, much can be done in the way of a ring adjuster to prevent the loss of the ring. After all, a loose ring can easily fall off, and if it is loose enough, it is possible that it is too late to do anything about when it is discovered that the ring is missing. A ring adjuster will prevent just that sort of situation. It involves some sort of a device meant to hold the ring more closely against the finger. There are three main types of ring adjuster: a small plastic piece, a metal clasp, and a round plastic tube. Any of these can work well, and all are, for the most part, inexpensive. Small plastic piece. A small plastic ring adjuster is really more of a clip. It clips to the bottom of the band, and holds the ring in place against your finger. As long as it is not too intrusive, this least expensive of ring adjustor options can be very desirable. And its place at the bottom of the band ensures that most observers do not see it. Metal clasp. This sort of ring adjuster looks like a metal clasp. It is often adjustable in its own way to fit across the band. It is hooked on one side of the band and then goes across the circle to the other. This creates a smaller opening for the finger, thus holding the ring closer for a tighter fit. Plastic tube. A ring adjuster in the shape of a plastic tube looks like a ring itself. These adjusters come in various thicknesses and are designed to be worn as a tighter, clear ring. The regular ring then is fitted over the top of the plastic tube and is held in place. By making use of a ring adjuster, you can be assured that your ring will not slip off. You can wear a larger ring without having to worry about the lost value of a ring cut and then soldered together to make it smaller.
